I want to paint my basement wall , they are concrete, any ideas , we are making it into a family room?

try buying some home interior/design magazines or borrowing some books from your library so you can have an idea of what kind of color combination you might like.





try painting one wall a different color from the rest of the three other walls. for example, a deep chocolate brown on one wall and light mocha brown on the rest.





it also depends if you get any sunlight in your basement at all. maybe a lighter color combination would be better to lighten up your basement?

Wow, you can have lot's of fun with that. First, though, you need an excellent primer. Sherwin and Williams have some great products. I would do two coats just to make sure.





Next, you can just use latex paint and be done. Or get creative and get some drywall mud and trowel a pattern. You can put sand in the mud and do an old fashioned skip trowel design like you would see in some of the older homes. Look at wall finishes that are hand done in other homes or some of the hipper dept. stores. Good Luck!!
