Can you paint over old carpet glue on a concrete floor?

I've seen this done before but don't know the process or best material. I will be taking carpet up and wanting to paint over the old glue without stripping the floor. The swirls from the glue that was trowled on the concrete gives an interesting look.Can you paint over old carpet glue on a concrete floor?
They have concrete paint w/ sealer that will paint over it and never let go. You can also cover it with a self leveling additive found at home depot or lowes that you pour and it levels by itself. After it dries you can paint it ( if you prefer smooth floor.Can you paint over old carpet glue on a concrete floor?
If you like the way it looks go for it. Check at a paint store for the right kind of paint, and I would seal it as well.
