Slowly !!!How to paint the concrete driveway with stencil?
etch the concrete with muratic acid and use a elastomeric paint I do not think epoxy is UV tolerant
This is something that you should ask a factory rep about. The main problem is that the tires of your car a Hot after driving in the summer. This will cause failure of the coating . If you have a Sherwin Williams store near by drop in and ask them.
with Stencil? no no no... I would NOT recommend painting it at all.
paint and concrete do not mix. they make specialized paint for application on concrete, though it's extremely high dollar, and the color selection is limited. usually produced in caution yellow or parking-lot strip white.
if you're looking to have a colorful driveway, look into stains and dyes.
you can stain your driveway and it will be more durable than paint, there is an assortment of acid stains and color dyes that are easy to apply, you'll have to order them through your local concrete accessory store, a typical hardware store won't carry these products.
bottom line, paint will not last. if you stain the concrete or dye it correctly., you'll have a long lasting decorative concete driveway.
This is going to look great, if you have understanding neighbors, for about 2-3 days; then it's going to begin to fail and look like the dickens; unless you don't use the driveway. In that case, Mother nature will ruin it for you in several months depending on weather. Cool idea but it will have a very short lived return on pleasure. Good luck. And, if you really do it, please email me a photo. Thanks!
