How to remove porch paint from concrete patio?

My front porch and back patio are painted a blue grey color and it is chipped and faded pretty bad so I would like to remove it. I have tried to pressure wash it with a 1600 psi power washer; It would only remove it where i would hold it right up to it and hold it for a second. So it worked but it would literally take me like a month to get it all off at that rate. Anyway does anyone have any ideas how I can get it off?How to remove porch paint from concrete patio?
paint stripper is acid and if you ';spray'; it off, all of those chemicals will soak into the ground or run into the gutter.

OK, get some paint stripper, apply it to the entire area, and wait for 1 hour, Take the pressure washer and spray off the area. If paint remains, apply a second coat of stripper and let stand for 1.5 hours, then pressure wash it off.
My mom had that problem with yellow paint.She used nail polish remover.If that doesn't work try some bleach.
