What is the best way to remove paint from concrete steps?

The paint has been on the concrete steps for at least a year and has become very slippy and dangerous to anyone using them. the paint has become shiny and has no grip what so ever. Any help on how to remove the paint would be greatly appreciated. The steps are outside and leading up to the house and would it be best to leave the concrete in its natural state once the paint has been removed or what would be the best thing to provide a bit of grip to anyone using it. Many thanks. What is the best way to remove paint from concrete steps?

Power wash it with one of those power washs that shoot out water it works great
You could try paint stripper, this stuff is powerful and should remove it, it shouldn't so anything to the concrete either.
I agree with the above answer, I'd try a heavy duty paint stripper. As a matter of fact, when you go to the hardware store you're likely to find something that is made specifically for removing paint from concrete.

After that, I would definitely leave the concrete in its natural state to prevent more slipperiness. To pretty it up, you could do a stencil on the vertical sections of the concrete.
A heat gun would work for stripping the paint also.

I don't know about the grip.
