Concrete bench is new. Need pros and cons of painting. How long will paint last? How should it be maintained? Bench will be outdoors all year. What type paint should be used? Any techniques to use before painting? What's the process to paint a new concrete bench?
You should use a paint made for concrete (Like Rust-Oleum Epoxy Shield). Make sure the surface is as clean as you can get it, tape off anything that you don't want painted, and paint away. Use a brush for corners and edges. Use a roller for larger flat surfaces. Try (as hard as it might be) not to sit down on it for about 12 hours.
It is only worth it to paint if you don't like the color of the concrete. I would only paint concrete if it is discolored and you are trying to bring new life to an old piece. What's the process to paint a new concrete bench?
The process? Pick up brush, by the handle. Hold brush firmly. Dip bristles in paint, wiping excess off on edge of can as you remove...
Consider a stain instead of paint.
If you do paint, I believe you need a sealer first.
