How to paint a concrete floor?

I want to use the paint that is being sold to do garage flooring that when done properly looks like an auto showroom style. The floor I am painting is my kitchen floor. It origionally had vinyl tile and I put down wood parquets 12'; tiles. All those tiles got damaged due to water leakage so now decided to paint. need to know if all the glue needs scraped or get most of it then paint over the restHow to paint a concrete floor?
i did this in my garage. you have to sand the floor first so that it's smooth and if you're doing the flooring from the box, just follow the directions on the box. if you're just painting it, sand it, wash it with wet/dry vaccuum and then paint! Done...GOOD LUCK!How to paint a concrete floor?
You really got a mess here. If I went in I would scrape all the glue, tile etc up and make sure the floor was sound. Then I would use a ';Kilz: primer and let it dry overnight.

I would then make a decision as to what would be necessary before starting, if anything.
I USE RED METAL PAINT MATE`??
To do this job correctly it is kind of expensive. You have to etch the floor first. That means the floor has to be very clean.there are products made for this step. Then using the right paint is important. The best paint is an epoxy paint. It's like an epoxy glue it's a two part product that you use together. First you apply the primer and then you apply the paint.Th er is a cheap version you can use (name brand' Bere''), but it won't be as durable as a good brand. I don't remember the name of the good stuff. Hope this helps.
I am pretty sure you need to get all the glue out. But maybe you don't need to scrape that hard. You need to first clean and etch the concrete - there are some NASTY solutions for that - and they probably would dissolve your glue as well, so it'll be easy to scrape.
